November 2007

Good morning! (and evening and afternoon to everyone around the world)

I guess all the retail stores have worked their magic. I’m in the holiday spirit already. At least this gives me a good jump start on some pretty holiday items for your girls! I worked up a special new sewn dress that is good for all those parties when your girls need to look nice for the relatives. It’s a little fancy yet still retains fun retro style. These dresses will be a pretty limited release of eight or nine due to limited vintage supplies. I’m aiming for early December to sell and ship. I’m trying to work hard on them all this week but Thanksgiving is Thursday so my work week will be broken up a bit. I want everyone to have them in their hands as soon as possible. I’ll do my best!

I also ordered some beautiful angora yarn. I want to do a batch of puff sleeve sweaters with angora fur neck and sleeve edge trim. I think that will be a nice winter luxury to gift your favorite dolly.

So rest easy till December and I’ll save up the Dolluxe goodies for etsy till then!

Hello all!

Guess what, I’m still sewing First Date dresses! I think I’ve been enjoying it a lot as the pieces are like puzzle pieces that you put together. I used to love puzzles as a child.

So we have some duplicates coming up like Groovy Boyfriend and Marmalade Kisses but there will also be two more fabric choices available. One is in another bright and groovy pink and orange print which I will call Love In Bloom and the other in a more subdued romantic brown rose print which will be named Dried Roses.

I think we are still shooting for Sunday listings again but if I change plans I will post here to let you know.

My First Date dresses in vintage fabrics did very well with sales last week. I really enjoy sewing up this pattern so I’ve been working on more with denim cuffs, waistband and sash ties. It’s just fun to see how the dynamic of a dress can change with just different fabrics. I like to make them in lots of different fabrics to suit the individual personalities of your dolls.

I think I’m going to aim for more Sunday evening listings again like last week.

I know a lot of you are still asking me for crochet work so I will try to get back into that next week.

So, see you Sunday!
