I’m sorry to announce Dolluxe is closed for an indefinite period of time. Please respect that I will not be taking any custom requests or producing new seasons of clothing. I appreciate all the emails and interest that has come my way. I am sorry I have not been able to write back.
I am so thankful for the wonderful customers and people I have met in the year and a half with Dolluxe. Thank you for your appreciation and support.

It’s a rainy day here. There is nothing much better to do than crochet and knit. I’m finishing up loose ends. I hope to get that second micro-knit dress to ebay early next week after the ebay strike. I have a general plan to make maybe one a week if possible for ebay till I get bored of them! I already have all these variations of them in my head. I just need to list them out and leave them for another rainy day. I’m already getting carried away with ideas for Summer 2008. I think that is what I’m going to dedicate the upcoming weeks to so expect a slight disappearance but in a month or two another fun big sale!

Well the holidays are over so I have no more excuses for sitting on my behind. I knit Babette a little sweater last week and am waiting on a few more pattern books for new knitting project inspiration.
I started sewing a little again. Soon you will see a new style dress available in etsy soon. I’m calling this one Party Princess. I ran out of the lace I was using for the first batch. I located some very similar accent lace so I can keep working on this style. I think by Monday or Tuesday you will get a preview of this.

Happy New Year!

Party Princess

Good morning! (and evening and afternoon to everyone around the world)

I guess all the retail stores have worked their magic. I’m in the holiday spirit already. At least this gives me a good jump start on some pretty holiday items for your girls! I worked up a special new sewn dress that is good for all those parties when your girls need to look nice for the relatives. It’s a little fancy yet still retains fun retro style. These dresses will be a pretty limited release of eight or nine due to limited vintage supplies. I’m aiming for early December to sell and ship. I’m trying to work hard on them all this week but Thanksgiving is Thursday so my work week will be broken up a bit. I want everyone to have them in their hands as soon as possible. I’ll do my best!

I also ordered some beautiful angora yarn. I want to do a batch of puff sleeve sweaters with angora fur neck and sleeve edge trim. I think that will be a nice winter luxury to gift your favorite dolly.

So rest easy till December and I’ll save up the Dolluxe goodies for etsy till then!

Lucky Cowgirl

My First Date dresses in vintage fabrics did very well with sales last week. I really enjoy sewing up this pattern so I’ve been working on more with denim cuffs, waistband and sash ties. It’s just fun to see how the dynamic of a dress can change with just different fabrics. I like to make them in lots of different fabrics to suit the individual personalities of your dolls.

I think I’m going to aim for more Sunday evening listings again like last week.

I know a lot of you are still asking me for crochet work so I will try to get back into that next week.

So, see you Sunday!

Hello!

Looks like I should be listing tomorrow night on etsy. Today I added more black cameo necklaces. This is all that is left for now so act quick if you have been wanting one! I think they are a great purchase for the price. It’s one of those things you just end up using all the time, at least I do!

Let’s see, I’ve got two pink cloches ready, two antique pink floral trellis tops, one in raspberry as well as three vintage fabric blouses. I just started a brown puff sleeve sweater today to have ready for tomorrow.

I would have some darling vintage cat fabric dresses but it’s black fabric and it irons so fussy.I probably need to turn my iron setting down for this fabric. Maybe a quick wash will cure it and I can offer one or two of those as well.

Hey everyone!

It looks like there won’t be etsy listings tonight. I was getting packages ready till Wednesday this week. This will give me a good head start for next week though with lots of goodies to restock the etsy store. Everything is out in the mail so expect it all soon! Most international air mail packages have only been taking a week. I can’t wait to see everyones dolls model these clothes. Also, I left everyone Etsy feedback. When you get your packages please make sure to do so in return. :)

I had to celebrate my living room floor being clean and package free with some wine. How lame am I, all it did was put me to sleep early! Ha!

This week in the Bay Area was a little heat wave. My craft room seems to face direct sunlight in the afternoon. I swear it gets to be 100 degrees up there with the iron on! That meant very little sewing for me. Today is a beautiful gray day. I guess I enjoy days like this because you can concentrate on projects better. It’s just to hard to knit in the heat. (with out an air conditioner!)

Wow, look here! My craft room was clean at one time! This couch is now filled with fabric, patterns, trims and bits and pieces of everything. I just thought I would show you where half of the hard work happens. This photo is in loving memory of my poor iMac that died. :( Also, please note my kitty Woo has laser beam eyes. Beware.

A sincere thank you to all my customers who really helped make my Autumn launch sale so successful. This is when I can sit back and know all my hard with worth it! I’m excited and looking forward to everyones pictures soon.

300 items on etsy

I didn’t even realize I was going to hit 300 items in the shop till a friend instant messaged me during the sale and said I had two more items to go till I hit that number! My husband gave me a big kiss! It’s just unreal all that has happened this year. I couldn’t be happier! Can you imagine that there is at least another 100 items that I did for custom orders this year too!? No carpal tunnel!

I know so many people are disappointed about missing out on the sale. Don’t worry too much! I am going to focus on the etsy shop for the time being. I will try to show on Thursday the clothes that will be for sale Friday evenings.

I am refraining from keeping a wait list right now. The old one actually is lost with my poor deceased iMac computer! As you can probably tell from the amount of requests you see on flickr, it’s impossible to keep up with! Etsy is the best way I know how to sell and be fair to everyone as well as be able to keep my creative juices flowing. Thanks again to everyone for understanding!

How time flies! Fall is almost here and I’m sure everyone is tapping their foot waiting for me. I think your patience will be rewarded with many fine things from Dolluxe this Fall. I really took the time to explore my creativity and try a lot of new things. This means lots of things to show you! I hope to finish my Lookbook this weekend for Flickr, then release the next weekend. Don’t worry, I will keep everyone updated in as many places as possible.

Here is a little sneak preview of two items I am presenting soon. You see here the long skirt I’m very fond of for more chilly days paired up with my lacy crochet cover-up that ties in the front.

Also look forward to two styles of crochet cover-ups, my crochet floral tunic with flutter sleeves, puff sleeve cashmere sweaters with lots of pretty embellishments, lots of skirts long and short, a few crochet dresses, turtle neck hounds tooth sweaters, velvet bodice dresses, a special country prarie flower burlap skirt dress, a new style of fabric dress that is fully lined… and even more!! A few items that took longer I only did a small amount of but they will just pave the way for what I will continue to work with for the next couple months.

Lulu Plays in Fallen LeavesBack to the drawing board for me! I’m locking myself in my craft room to come up with new ideas for you guys that I hope to present late August/ early September. I’m anxious for the Summer heat to die down so I can get back knitting again. My head is filled with Fall already with it’s beautiful colors, scents and feel. My dolly girls are already in the mood too, wearing pumpkin orange and woody brown.

The wait list will be addressed here and there but most likely at a snails pace. Don’t worry though, I’ll try to make lots for everyone this month! My customer base has just been growing and growing. My hands are trying to keep up best they can!
